Peter Pan Complex

Jarang sekali saya menulis sebuah tulisan serius,

apalagi berbahasa Inggris,

demi Jupiter yang berisi miliaran galon gas metana,

bukannya tidak bisa,

saya punya trilyunan kemalasan yang menahan saya membuatnya,

ini adalah salah satu tulisan yang baru saja saya buat,

sebagai salah satu syarat melamar pekerjaan.

ini adalah versi lengkapnya,

dan sebuah copy nya sudah saya masukan amplop dan siap diposkan menuju alamat kantor tempat saya melamar.

I guess, all of you have known Peter Pan, the fiction creature that never grew up. He lives accompany with a dearest fairy called Tinker Bell, doing the adventurous life against the beast pirates, Captain Hook. Enough said, Peter Pan is every boy’s wildest dream, because he’s never being old. For example, me, myself. There’s a lot childish thingy stick to me, even now I’m 23. I like cartoons, love Gundam, I also like to collect some stuffs like a child.

Well, certainly, we’re all have the child side that would never change. We love our child hood, we love our past toys, that’s why some people, like my Dad, he always want to buy me a train miniature, because he always want it since he was a child. Weird, but it’s true.

As a child, we usually grew up with toys, laughing with friends, doing sports, watch cartoons; we’re not busy with adults problem.

Live changes, what do I see now? I saw kids talking on the phone, talking about silly love life, that they learned when they watch on soap opera on TV. They sang songs about broken heart, or an affair, which I guess, they don’t really know all the meanings from the words that contains on that songs. They learned how to gossip their friends, from the way their mother talk with friends, while watching some infotainment on TV.

Kids, nowadays, fulfilled with boring lessons on school, tough environment, especially for those who live in remote areas, and they have to walk several kilometers to reach the school. Parent wants the best for their kids, and their way to make it happen, sometimes, unsuitable for kids. Extra courses filled the rest of their day after school time, kinda weird, when i saw a kid, have tighter schedule than me, a college student.

The world keeps turning, and I’ve become too weak, but one thing for sure, for me, let kids be themselves, let them waste their youth time, let them play with toys, with bunch of friends, and us, as adults, our job is to take care and keep on eye of them, not to take their world. Keep them away from crappy songs, silly shows, and unsuitable words. Let kids loves their childhood, because nobody wants to get old, just like Peter Pan does.
